Jersey Shore Cast Demands More Money!
MTV’s Jersey Shore had a huge first season, bringing in 4.8 million viewers in its season finale. Now the cast, including The Situation, Pauly D, Snooki and others, are demanding more money for season 2.
MTV reportedly offered each cast member a $10,000 signing bonus, and $5,000 per episode. The Jersey Shore cast rejected this offer, claiming they would negotiate until they received a much higher offer. MTV then doubled the salary to $10,000 per episode. The cast members still have not accepted this offer.
Pauly D and The Situation are reportedly being the most stubborn with the negotiation. This isn't hard to believe about The Situation who said in episode 2, "Everybody at the Shore definitely knows The Situation. As far as I know, everybody loves The Situation, and if you don't love The Situation, I'm gonna make you love The Situation."
According to TMZ, MTV said they have not made any decisions to bring back the cast, and has received thousands of tapes from hopeful “Guido and Guidettes”. MTV told the cast they are not a package deal, so Snooki, The Situation or whoever won’t negotiate can see the door. With thousands of other interested “Situations” and “Snookies” out there, MTV doesn’t seem to be budging on their offer. The Jersey Shore cast has until the end of today to accept the offer.
